I didn’t realize I was missing a community until I found it there. Yes, I love going to classes and they have amazing teachers, but in my opinion the best part is the community. Sunni has created a loving and accepting space where people can grow, heal, and connect to some of the most loving humans. I've taken almost all of the classes offered and attended several events and retreats. All of the instructors are welcoming, warm, and empowering, even though they all have their own styles. There is a variety of styles/classes so you can find the yoga that supports you and your body best. Sunni is my literally one of my favorite humans; from the beginning she remembered my name and made me feel seen and appreciated. She radiates love and it's evident in all of her interactions that she is passionate about the Essential community and sharing yoga. I live a very sedentary lifestyle and had not done a sport or any sort of activity or exercise since middle school over twenty years ago, and doing yoga has been amazing. My flexibility is better than it has ever been that I can remember, and I just feel better in general and am noticing myself paying attention to my posture and breathing more even outside of class. Sunni is amazing, all of the teachers are amazing, the atmosphere is the bee's knees and I love the variety of classes that are offered. If I had the ability to experience shame, I would not have to worry about that at Essential Yoga because the teachers and students have all been friendly and welcoming. The space is cozy and intimate and the instructors are so accommodating and accessible. It’s non- heated which is soooo nice in the warm months especially. Everyone is friendly - no intimidation, and I love the variety of class formats.
